INKY HANDS IS A CONTEMPORARY SILK SCREEN STUDIO, GALLERY AND PUBLISHER IN PLYMOUTH, DEDICATED FULLY TO SILK SCREEN AS A FINE ART PROCESS. THE STUDIO PROVIDES EXPLORES INNOVATIVE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE APPROACHES TO PRODUCING LIMITED EDITION SCREEN PRINTS
The studio was founded in Dallas, in 2014, by artist Katharine LiBretto, who has a Masters in Printmaking from Camberwell College of Art (University of the Arts London), worked as a commercial printer and technician in London, and held memberships to multiple open-access print studios in New York City, London and New Jersey. She has been screen printing since 2007, producing countless editions for herself and clients.
In May 2018, Inky Hands Print Studio moved to a new location in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This location includes a contemporary art gallery alongside a spacious print studio for the production of clients' artwork and teaching the screen printing process. Though she no longer teaches and publishes, Kat is always happy to discuss printmaking and help others.
